Exposed, totally exposed and a rain forecast 5 days long just hours away, this leads to nailing and sawing until 1:00 AM. My neighbor very sweetly claimed not to hear a thing, I'm guessing he just understood our panic. Back up bright and early to continue the work, clouds are rolling in.
I have to rewind the story a bit, you see this was a project Tony & I thought we could take on ourselves. We were hoping to get a little help from my brother on a day or two, but we understood it to be something we could do on our own. My father-in-law gives us instructions and we do the work, no problem....wrong. We prayed about how we were going to do this and lost sleep. Each day we worried, but every day my brothers both came to help. After working their own jobs, they came to help us until dark. The night we worked to cover the roof they were here working too. When Tony and I got up the next morning we were both resolved to the fact that we would not get the roof covered before it rained, today we were on our own. After drinking coffee and getting ready to head out my phone rang, it was my brother telling me he was 10 minutes away and not going to work but coming to help us. A little while later my other brother arrives, work clothes on. I can't even describe the feeling that came over us. Brandon (my bro) ask me, "Do you love me?", I replied "Of course I love you, I did before you helped us." He says, " I know, that's why I did it." Brothers or angels?
